How to create a new Sector in Vicinity

Add a new Sector

Sectors are designed to differentiate between all hereditaments.


You may have several that need to be inputted, here is how you can add new Sectors.

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Manage Sectors

  3. New '+'

  4. Enter the name of the Sector, eg: ‘Retail’ ‘Leisure’

  5. You can add Businesses here to the Sector you have just created.

  6. Save and Close, or Save and New for adding multiple Sectors.

You can add Businesses to the sector record 👇🏻

Or you can add a Sector to a Business through the Directory view which may be an easier way to work through gaps in the database 👇🏻

It is also useful to know - rather than adding several Sectors we can ‘Tag’ Hereditaments to have a clearer understanding of their Business.

For example, Sector = Leisure
Tags = Restaurant, Bar, Dog Friendly
