Vicinity's Data Updater is designed to take your source file and compare the data it holds with the records in Vicninty - giving you the ability to compare, ignore or make changes to your database.

Vicinity iterates over each row of data the council provides and tries to find a matching record in Vicinity using a property reference number and a combination of billing reference and liable party name.

Based on what Vicinity finds, users are presented with a series of decisions to make

Your source file for Data Updater must be provided in the same format each time without formulas or merged cells. It must be a CSV file.
