Overview ๐Ÿ“–

Sometimes when you're carrying out a specific task or looking to export a defined list of data you'll want to have a clearer view of the relevant information.

The Columns tab, allows you to toggle and control which Columns are visible in the Directory and save custom Layouts including any filters you set. The Layout tab allows you to load one of your saved layouts and select a default layout.

Layouts are personal to you, so they're not shared with other Collaborators and you can set them as a default.

Finding Layouts ๐Ÿ”Ž

The Layouts and Columns tab can be found in the Directory. You can customise by clicking the blue 'Column' button in the top left of the Directory Table view - this will open a drop-down menu of all columns available and here you can set the ones you need in view.

Setting custom Columns using Layouts ๐Ÿงฎ

To set a Layout, you can start by using columns - you can deselect the Columns you no longer wish to see.

โ„น๏ธ Hint: If you're looking for speed, you can use the 'Hide All Columns' button to remove all current Columns and then select just the ones you need.
โ€‹

Don't worry, you can use the 'Show All Columns' or 'Restore Default Columns' to get back to the start if you're stuck - you can also refresh your browser.

Adding Filters

When you have the Columns that you need on display in the Directory, you can also filter information to get exactly what you require. For example, you may have the 'Sector' Column selected. You can filter down to the exact Sector that is applicable.

Saving your Layouts ๐Ÿ’พ

If you'd like to save a Layout for later - such as for a specific task you often do - you can use the 'Save Current Layout' button which is found in 'Columns' and give it a memorable name - this will then appear in your personal 'Layout' Menu.

You can save both the configuration of Columns that you have chosen and also any filters that you have applied.

The great thing about Layouts is if any of the information in your Directory changes, the data that is shown in your layouts automatically updates the next time you load them.

โ„น๏ธ Note: At the moment Layouts can't be amended once created - but we're working on it! For now, you'll need to create a new one and delete the old.

Setting a default Layout ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ’ป

You can set one of your Layouts as a default, this means whenever you sign in to Solomon or open the Directory you will be greeted with your default and chosen Layout.

Go to the Layouts toggle and click on the heart next to the listed Layouts. You can simply unset this by clicking on the heart once more if you wish to have the full directory in view.

Deleting a Layout ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ

To delete a Layout you have previously saved you just need to go to the 'Layout' menu and select the Trash icon at the side. Make sure you are sure, once deleted this can't be recovered!
