Choosing Your Verification Method

If your app includes exclusive content or member-only offers, you’ll need to choose how users verify their eligibility. Here are the three options.

How exclusive content works

Exclusive content is delivered by users joining groups during registration, with a customisable form to collect information and validate their membership. Only verified members can see and redeem your exclusive offers – everyone else simply won’t know they’re there.

Option 1: Postcode verification

Users verify their eligibility using their workplace postcode to confirm they work in your area. It’s quick and simple for users, with no codes to distribute – a great fit when eligibility maps neatly to a geographic area.

Option 2: Employer secret codes

Unique codes are distributed via employers, and applications are approved instantly when the code is correct. Because each employer has their own code, you can see which employers’ staff are getting the most benefit and which businesses are engaging most with your app – making this the most scalable option for large employers.

Option 3: Email verification & proof of employment

The strongest level of verification. Users enter their work email address – or upload proof of employment such as a staff ID, pass or payslip – and your team reviews each application for flexible approval.

Which should I choose?

  • Simple and instant – postcode verification

  • Large employers, plus tracking by organisation – employer secret codes

  • Strongest control over who gets access – email verification & proof of employment

You don’t have to pick just one – methods can be combined or tailored. We’ll agree your approach together at the Kick-Off Call.
