What are Collaborators?

Collaborators are Vicinity's name for the users of the system, everyone in the team can contribute to the database in lots of different ways. Everyone can help to build the picture of what value the BID delivers by adding Activities, capturing and amending the contacts attached to businesses keeping the system up to date, adding notes to keep engagement levels high and much more.

The Permissions

Collaborators can be granted different permissions based on their roles. There are two Collaborator roles to choose from:

Administrator: have an "access all areas" pass and can manage and change the Vicinity settings to add and amend Activity Subtypes, Tags, Business Groups, Areas and Sectors. Admin can delete records but we do recommend using the archive option instead.

Contributor: can create, update and archive records in the database, these will be flagged for review by an Administrator. They cannot delete and do not have access to the settings menu.

Guest permissions

Ask us about Guest permissions - do you have any BID members you would like to give them access to their business timeline and BID dashboard?
