Post-claim content allows you to reveal additional information only after a user has claimed a deal in the app. This is useful for sharing things like exclusive URLs, QR codes, barcodes, or redemption instructions that should only be visible once a deal has been claimed.
This content appears in the deal claim drawer and supports rich text, images, links, and embedded content.
How to add post-claim content to a deal
Log in to your dashboard
Go to https://dashboard.getvicinity.com and log in with your usual details.
Navigate to Deals
From the left-hand menu, click Promote, then select Deals from the top navigation to view your deals list.
Open the deal you want to edit
Select a deal from the list and click on the deal title to open the deal editing screen.
Scroll to the claim content section
Scroll down until you see the claim content text boxes:
Claim Content – Before: content shown before a user claims the deal
Claim Content – After: content shown after a user successfully claims the deal
Post-claim content should be added to Claim Content – After.
Adding exclusive links
Add a button/URL link
In the Claim Content – After box, click the link icon to add a button link.
Enter button text and URL
Add the text you’d like displayed on the button (for example, “Redeem online” or “View voucher”), then enter the URL.
This link will only be visible once the user has claimed the deal in the app.
Remove a link if needed
To remove the link, click inside the link box and press the backspace (delete) key.
Embedding additional content
Embed dashboard content
You can embed existing content by clicking the embed icon and choosing from:
Business
Deal
Competition
Loyalty scheme
This is useful if you want to reference related content directly within the deal claim screen.
Add an image
Click the image icon to upload an image into the post-claim content area.
Images can be used to:
Show the item being redeemed
Display a QR code or barcode that can be scanned at the till
Provide visual redemption instructions
For example, a QR code/barcode image can be scanned by staff in-store to apply the discount.
Save your changes
Save before exiting
Once you’ve finished adding your post-claim content, make sure to save your changes before leaving the deal editing screen.
