Exporting Your Competition Entries 🏆

Are you ready to pick a competition winner? Or perhaps you want to send a follow-up email to Users who entered? - this help article will help you do just that!

It is really easy to export data from a competition you have ran through your Vicinity place-branded app.

  1. Log in to your dashboard as normal (dashboard.getvicinity.com)
    ​

  2. Navigate to the Competitions screen in your Promote Dashboard.
    ​

  3. Find the competition you're looking to get the report for and select the 'More' (...) button on the right hand side of the screen.

  4. In the menu, you will see Reporting Tools and under this the option titled 'Competition entries'.
    ​

  5. Clicking this will automatically download a CSV file with your competition entries in it. This will include:

    1. A unique id for the competition entry,

    2. The date and time that the competition was entered,

    3. The app User ID for the person that entered the competition,

    4. The User's email address

    5. The User's name

You can now use this CSV to import into your mailing software (creating a segment for the competition if you wish), or use a random number/winner generator to pick your successful winner - who you pick... well... that's up to you!

❓Did you know? You can also download data for competitions from all of time, straight from the Reports tab of your dashboard.
