Adding businesses is key to bringing your app to life. Each business you add can:
✅ Appear in your directory
✅ Link to offers and loyalty schemes
✅ Link to events
✅ Link to competitions
Steps to add a business
1. Log in
👉 Go to dashboard.getvicinity.com and sign in.
2. Businesses list
👉 Click Businesses in the top menu to see your directory.
3. Create
👉 Click Create (top right).
💡 Fields with a red asterisk () are required.*
4. Business details
Trading Name – The name above the door
Address – Be as specific as you need (e.g. “2nd floor, rear entrance”)
Postcode – For reference
Description – Make it stand out (borrow from their website/socials, or use AI)
5. Opening hours
Toggle days On/Off
Click the time or clock icon to adjust
6. Web & socials - (optional but recommended)
👉 Add website, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
7. Contact details
⚠️ Use public details only – no personal emails or numbers.
8. Image
👉 Upload a logo or photo.
Click Upload files → adds to your library
Select from the dropdown any time later
9. Location pin
👉 Click Add a location:
Search address, OR
Drag the pin on the map
💡 Use “Advanced” for coordinates. Mistake? Click Clear location.
10. Sector
👉 Select from the dropdown (required, but not shown in the app).
11. Save
👉 Click Save (or Save and Close).
🎉 Your business is now live in the directory!
