Why do I need an Apple Developer account?

An Apple Developer account is essential for two key steps in the app journey:

  • To build your test app

  • To publish your final app to the App Store

Apple requires all apps to be published under an account owned by the organisation the app represents. This means the account must be registered to you, not to us. It ensures your business has full control and ownership of your app, now and in the future.

What you’ll need to register

Before starting the registration process, make sure you have the following:

  • An Apple ID with two-factor authentication enabled

  • A D‑U‑N‑S® Number (a unique business identifier – more on this below)

  • Legal Entity Status – your organisation must be a registered company

  • Legal Binding Authority – you must be authorised to enter legal agreements on behalf of your company

  • A website that clearly represents your business

Finding your D‑U‑N‑S® Number

Your D-U-N-S Number is provided by Dun & Bradstreet and is required by Apple to verify your business.

If you don’t know your D-U-N-S Number, you can look it up here:

How to get started

You can begin the enrollment process via the Apple Developer website:

Click “Start Your Enrollment” and follow the steps. The process usually takes a few days to complete.

Once your account is approved, please add both of the following team members as admins with full permissions:

This ensures we can build and launch your app without any delays.
