This checklist will guide you through the key decisions that shape your app’s look, feel, and first impression. Each step helps create something recognisable, on-brand, and inviting for your users.
Name Your App
Your app name is what users will see first - on their phones, in the app store, everywhere. Choose something recognisable, relevant, and uniquely yours.
Set Your Greeting
This is the first message your users will see - a chance to set the tone. Keep it friendly, local, and true to your voice. Our default is: “Hi, what would you like to discover?” but you can make it your own.
Choose Your Colours
Your app should feel like a natural part of your brand. We’ll bring it to life with your colours - just share your preferred palette or key brand shades.
Provide Your Logo
Your logo is a key part of your identity. Whether you’re a BID, council, or business group, your logo signals who the app belongs to and helps build instant trust with users.
Select A Cover Image
Your cover image is your visual headline - the first thing users see. Choose a high-quality photo that captures the spirit of your area, whether it’s a landmark, event, or vibrant local scene.
Design Your App Icon
Users will see this every day - in the app store and on their phones. It should be simple and recognisable.
Please supply your icon in 1024×1024px and 512×512px formats.
Confirm Your Marketing URL
This is typically your website or another page where you're promoting the app - it helps users learn more and gives you a place to direct traffic.
Set your Support Preference and Dashboard Access
To make sure your users are supported in the best way possible, please let us know how you’d like us to handle support queries:
Option 1: Direct users to a support webpage on your website (please supply the URL).
Option 2: Have users email your team directly (please supply the email address).
Grant Dashboard Access
We’ll also need to know who you’d like to grant dashboard access to so they can manage your app content.
Please provide the name and email address for each person who requires access.
